Our team has made it to Kingston, Jamaica and has started our full week of ministry here at the Salvation Army School for the Blind. This week we are partaking in three main ministries.

Each morning we start off the day by doing a construction project.  So far this has included painting the boys dorm and moving old furniture to go and get refurbished. On Wednesday we will start our concrete work, taking out stairs and replacing them with ramps for the children to move around the compound better.

After a delicious lunch of Jamaican Juicy Patties we head to the elderly home to visit with the women there.  We play bingo, sing and share stories with the 19 women and 1 man that currently live there.

The rest of our afternoon is filled with sports ministry and VBS with the children from the school for the blind.  Our team has been preparing bible lessons, crafts and sports games to share with the children.  The best part so far has been the soccer balls the team brought. The balls they purchased are made specifically for the blind children.  They are filled with beads, so it sounds like a shaker/maraca when you kick it, helping the children know where to find the ball at all times.  The balls have been a huge hit and many students got to play in yesterdays game who normally can't play.

Pray for our team as they are loving on the school's students this week.  Pray for conversations to lead to relationships, and relationships to lead them closer into the Lord's arms.  There is so much Joy here I can't wait to see what the Lord unfolds through out  the week.
