When I think back on this week there is not even one word that I can use to describe it. The very first day our AIM leader challenged us, asking who “Jamaica” will be to me when I am home in the States. So here my journey begins. Growing up in the States I thought I knew what worship was, but not until I came here did I realize that we Americans do not worship God enough. These people pour out their lives into Jesus Christ. They always seem to find joy even in the littlest things in life. I came to Jamaica to bless these people, but I am leaving Jamaica being blessed more than I could have ever expected. God has stretched, blessed, protected, strengthened, healed, called, and nurtured me throughout this week. I want to leave this island with no regrets and a heart willing to serve not only abroad but also in my hometown. Jamaica taught me to worship with joy. This week, I was challenged to find exactly who Jamaica was to me. I certainly did find who my Jamaica was to me.
