This week has been so amazing, life changing, and challenging. One of the most impacting experiences of the week was going to the Francis Ham elderly home. It was so cool to see the women there rejoicing in the Lord. They poured their whole heart and soul into worshiping God with singing and prayer. One lady was 102 years old, her voice never wavered as she sang, and she brought many of us to tears with her prayer. We felt so loved as she fervently praised God and prayed for our trip and us. One sentence of this lady’s prayer really stuck with me- teach them to pray. It showed that she was not only worried about our physical needs, but our spiritual ones as well. It challenged me when I realized that so often I just shoot “arrow prayers” up to God, while not really thinking about those I am praying for. This lady was a real inspiration to me. She showed me that no matter what stage you are in life; you can always have an impact for Christ on someone’s life.
